An automobile (via French from Greek auto, self and Latin mobilis moving, a vehicle that moves
itself rather than being moved by another vehicle or animal) or motor car (usually
shortened to just car) is a wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own
motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run
primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have
four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather
than goods. However, the term is far from precise because there are many
types of vehicles that do similar tasks.

Transport or transportation is the movement of people and goods from one place to another. The term is derived
from the Latin trans ("across") and portare ("to carry"). Industries which have
the business of providing equipment, actual transport, transport of people or
goods and services used in transport of goods or people make up a large broad
and important sector of most national economies, and are collectively referred
to as transport industries. |

Shipping is physical process of transporting goods and cargo. Virtually every product ever

in shipped products and locations, there are only three basic types of shipments:
land, air, and sea.
Land or "ground" shipping can be either by train
or by truck. Trucking is easily the most popular form of shipping. Even in Air
and Sea shipments, ground transportation is still required to take the product
from its origin to the airport or seaport and then to its destination. Ground
transportation is typically more affordable than air shipments, but more expensive
than shipping by sea. Trucks are also much faster than ships and rail but slower
than planes. |
